A Norwegian–Icelandic aquaculture brand built on nature, science, and responsibility.
Elska is a seafood company born from a collaboration between Norway and Iceland — two ocean nations united by heritage, expertise, and a shared responsibility to protect what matters most.
KIND partnered closely with Elska from the outset, working holistically across business strategy, brand strategy, positioning, identity design, and implementation. Together, we shaped a future-facing aquaculture brand aligned with nature rather than forcing nature to adapt.
At the core of Elska lies Deep Ocean Ranching: a pioneering approach where cod is raised deep within its natural habitat, nourished by the ocean’s own food chain. The result is seafood that is as close to wild as aquaculture can be — naturally fed, naturally conditioned, and naturally thriving.
The name Elska — Icelandic and Norwegian for to care, to cultivate, to love — became the foundation for a brand built on reverence rather than extraction. This philosophy is expressed through a refined identity system that balances emotion and precision, and a symbol uniting two E’s into a single form — representing the Norwegian–Icelandic partnership at the heart of the brand.
The result is a confident, distinctive position: an aquaculture brand that treats the ocean not as a resource, but as something precious. A new blueprint for feeding the future — by cherishing what sustains it.
