Awards success at glittering ceremony

Kind wins international gold for Bareksten branding

Kind walked away victorious from a top international awards ceremony in London recently, clutching the gold trophy for best-in-show New Individual Brand for Bareksten Gin.

Kind's Founder, CEO and Creative Director, Tom Emil Olsen, was joined on stage by Bareksten Founder and CEO Stig Bareksten to accept the prestigious award. The ceremony took place in front of a packed Gibson Hall, in the heart of the city.

The International Spirits Challenge 2017 saw the world's leading drinks producers, design specialists and marketing specialists gather for this renowned annual event, with the finest spirits, designs and campaigns in the world centre stage. Kind and Bareksten's triumph - in the Packaging & Design Category - comes hot on the heels of an earlier Double Gold victory in the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in April.

‘Remarkable’

Tom Emil Olsen said: 'Kind set out to create a truly distinctive, emotive visual brand identity for Bareksten - this award is validation for the bold direction that we decided to take. To be chosen by some of the spirits industry's most respected judges and experts as a truly stand-out brand is a remarkable achievement.

'The team at Kind are rightly proud of this win, as I know Stig and the team at Oss Craft Distillery are.

'As Bareksten continues to gather more and more fans across the world, Kind will continue to build the brand via mesmerising campaigns and communications, as well as ongoing excellence in packaging and profiling.'

'The best in the world'

Sig Bareksten, CEO and Founder of Bareksten Spirits, said: 'I chose Kind as the right branding agency for Bareksten Spirits as I fully believe they represent the very best in Scandinavian design. I have global ambitions for the Bareksten brand and so, when it comes to the design and branding aspects, I need to work with the very best in the world. Kind delivers, every time, and helps me to build the reputation of the Bareksten brand. That's what I get from my relationship with Kind.'

'Excellence'

The International Spirits Challenge, which was held on July 12, is the world's premier event for promoting excellence in spirits, and has been running for more than 20 years. It has a global reputation built on authority, respected judges and an unsurpassed influence on the industry. More than 1,300 entries were received for this year's competition, from more than 70 countries.
